You probably shouldn’t put clocks in your eye.
I love when people give me tagline as a suggestion for inklings, when i read them i get a stronger sense of imagery before i start. Usually when i get animal fusions i just draw it as i go and see how i can blend them, when i get taglines I usually get a picture in my minds eye and draw what i was seeing. It’s interesting how the process varies depending on the concept.
In other news: This week i was included into another web-comic collective called Webcomic Plant; a league of very motivated interesting artists. Also, here is the final video interview that I myself conducted. This one is my favorite and is with my biggest influence for Unconscious Ink. If you go thru his work you’ll quickly see where the concept behind this site came from, but I would also hope you can see the ways I’ve expanded and deviated from Andrew Bell’s Creatures in My Head. His are literary just creatures he comes up with on a whim and posts, he was already a master at cartooning when he started his project. Unconscious Ink was started for me to explore cartooning as well as push myself to draw what other people had in their minds; I don’t want to just draw little creatures, but draw themed scenes from the imagination. My mind is boring in comparison to some of yours, and i try to explore what you and I both have in our minds. Anyway, blah blah blah… This interview pays tribute to the artist who specifically has been my teacher, in an indirect way:

Wow looks really good. It makes me feel a bit sick like you know when you’re trying to thread a needle or something, but it keeps not working? At least the eyeball guy is trying to help out.
I honestly can’t even thread a needle. :/
To me the eye ball guy is more like “DUDE, THAT’S NOT RIGHT! I SHOULD BE IN THERE NOT THAT CLOCK!!!!” …though… i have no clue why he has a screw driver in hand.
Hmm, this just makes me think about all of the issues with perception that I hear about all day in philosophy class. You could have drawn something silly an unintellectual the day I have a big paper due so that I could be distracted, instead of thinking more!
Inconsiderate…
lol. jk. this is cool, and warped. i am tired.
Reading that hurt my brain.
Now you know how I feel. I’ve been writing about Hume’s theory of causation for hours. I’m so tired.
I have no clue what that is. YOU ARE BLOWING MY MIND!
i dont know why but this made me laugh
but then again it could be from the fact that it’s 4am …
Haha. Idk, but what I do know is that i get really delusional around that time, and find weird shit funny that I may normally not laugh at. Check it again in the morning and tell me if it’s still funny? lol (point in case, its 3.43am.. and I just laughed… is anything that i just said funny? probably not.)
still funny
and its beeen over 4 hours since i last looked
i think its because the eyeball’s iris is a mouth and the … green thingy is being stabbed by hammers and screwdrivers and saws and nails
i have a very morbid sense of humour XD
haha… Well I’m glad your not just delirious, but instead your crazily morbid like me. :]
I’d replace my eye with a clock too, if my eye had a jagged beak like that.
haha, probably a wise choice. :]
sweet! a picture for my suggestion (which you probably got a few times…my bad)! i like how it came out!
congrats on the inclusion into Webcomic Planet! also, a very sweet interview with Mr. Bell!
A LOT of info I’ve wondered about him and his work! thanks!
Thanks, I was hoping you’d like it. I liked your idea right when I read it. :] (I got the message twice, but its all good, I liked it both time :p)
