Another GREAT INKu suggestion! Very fun concept and gave me the chance to practice on clouds again (which i love drawing for some reason). Variations of this in my head included a pig riding a cloud with a butcher knife stabbing the sky and a man squeezing blood out a cloud. When i sat down to finally work on it though, this is what came out and I was pleased with the dudes face. He doesn’t even know why he has the sky blood lust, even if it seems insane to him, he will go to any lengths to continue his innate quest. If this guy terrorized the sky for real, for any length of time.. what do you think the world below would look like?

For some reason he looks like a superhero fighting fluffy clouds. Can’t imagine any villain wearing a red cape. Dunno why.
Well, maybe he is a superhero fighting the villainy that is the weather? Or… he’s just clinically insane and is confused about his existence.
Heh, I can see it now headlines across the world: Weather-man saves the day by gutting rainclouds!
haha.. then the next release of the headlines state: Bloodied-Rainclouds, Drown Civilization.
If it’s not sticking to the same theme too much I’d like to see you draw that one actually.
Funny you say that, I’ve been working on next weeks concept in my mind.. i want to do something that shows whats going on just below that scene. That’s why i was asking people what they thought was happening below.
I’ve got a few ideas…
Off the top of my head I’d say zealots are on their knees cause the sky is falling, ooor a nice image of a weather-man/woman showing the gory forecast.
Not much of ideas those two, but it might help.

I think he’s trying to exact his revenge on God for not giving him sexual organs. He went to that sword making guy from Kill Bill so if he “came across God, God would be cut”. But he doesn’t know what God looks like so he’s just cutting the shit out of anything he sees.

Haha, he’s heard tale that God resides in the clouds so he’s been flying around for years stabbing every cloud he comes across in hopes that each may be the home of God. He quest is still a failure.
I like the color red, so I think that the world below would be prettier… but taste like iron. ew.

The best part about this is I watched you sketching the idea. It’s cool to see it come to life here though. Major difference.
Seriously, the original sketch felt really weak, i was worried that this wouldn’t be as successful as it turned out to be. Honestly though, sometimes it works the other way around too.. the ones that look great on paper sometimes turn out to look lame colored… Its a gamble.
I think I saw this happening once! Just how I remember it – great job!!
