Mine always came out poo-free. Even the time my cousin booted him across the room (he loved soccer). I felt bad but secretly laughed at the poor guy bc the centrifugal force pushed him so flat up against the wall of the hamster ball as he flew through the air. And then he rolled around all dizzy like for a few minutes. Sigh. one of the best memories with that ol hamster. good ol whatever his name was. something was clearly wrong with your hamster then.
