She will always be protected, as long as he’s around to watch over her.
I said that I would start making Unconscious Ink have previews and/or insights into the story of Anhedonia Blue… So here we go. The past two posts I’ve been trying to hard core experiment with new techniques to create a stronger visual imagery. So far I’m happy with the results.. and plan to try to incorporate more of this style into the comic as time goes on, but we’ll see. Also, this unlikely duo is also a character concept for ABlue, that may or may not show up as the finalized version. I’ve written in the later chapters about a girl traveling with a beastly protector.. I just felt like experimenting early on, and decided to post some more concepts here just to get feed back from you guys. Let me know what you think of the concept and the visual style! :]

Honestly I wanted to type “Igor is Alive” is he? I know this isnt Igor…
now this is an art I like
Does that mean you’d want to see more like this?
Yeah maybe.
…sounds reassuring.
i take it now all your comments require approval?
oh no, just the smiley face i tried to submit which your page decided to eat. oy.
lol… what did you originally say that i never got to see?
pretty much just smiley face and something expressing my enjoyment of the post. i can’t remember now. i just remember clicking “submit comment” then the page reloaded and my comment wasn’t there. so then i posted the thing about your comments requiring approval.
PSH, You broke the internets.
i know! I do that all the time!
FALCOR! Or an abominable snow beast are what come to mind when I see this. Love this one!
I had to look up what Falcor was… man, it’s been a LONG time since I’ve seen the Never Ending Story! Good call!
Dig it. Although he looks a bit like a few of my relatives. And … you know … me.
lol
I’m so jealous! I want a beast. I like the trees.
Glad you like the trees… the forest is something I’m nervous about getting to on ABlue because it is pretty intensely layered… Still a work in progress.
you know, the easiest way to get around that is to make one large (wide/panorama) file of a lot of trees on one plane with transparent background, then just layer that image, flipping it horizontally, sliding it from side to side, and darkening and blurring it more and more as it goes back in space. You can save and reuse that over and over for whenever you’re in the forest… then you just re-draw the front-most tree layer (or maybe the two front-most tree layers), which will be the only thing that anyone will see with any clarity.
Very kool! love the white hair!
Glad you like that part, that was the part i wanted to accentuate about her the most! :]
