First off, i want to say that the concept behind this comic came from a friend of mine, Austin Reeder, who helped me start the Reeder Rabbit comic in the first place. If it wasn’t for him, my renewed interest in art and new found love for web based and regular comic books may have never been born. So Austin, i take this opportunity to thank you… but this is the last time i will be doing that. Ever!!!! 
Anyway, when Austin and I were throwing this concept back and fourth back then i love the idea and tried to draw it as best as i could. When i say best as i could, i lie, i spent 20 mins max on a really crappy tablet pc that lagged so bad that i could barely draw it. At that time i didn’t really take this comic all that serious though, so i didn’t really care much. Though the artist part of me never felt like i succeeded in drawing a decent piece; honestly i failed at it when i look at the orignal. The last cell where Coney is dead wasn’t nearly as dramatic as i envisioned it and it didn’t really show what i wanted it to show about the way i see war.
I wanted to make two points with this. One, when you see recuiters at school, the incentives of which they pose to you are often aren’t worth the risk. For instance, in my opinion, when they offer to pay for you school, it my mind the only thing i can think is “yeah, if i make it back alive.” The positions and other things they promise you (as i hear from people who’ve enlisted) you never get. And two, In a time where we’ve been in a stupid war in the Middle East, where we’ve as a society been wasting our time, money, resources and the lives of the people involved i think this war (or most wars for that matter) is pointless. It just proves to me the power of the media and patriotic manipulation. I hate the media’s negative usage to twisted the whole thing to seem like a good idea. War is never a good option, but the media seemed to have a way of making everything seem like we should do it.

wow, i have to say i am starting to really like the new reader rabbit. i say you should just run with it. comics this good are bound to get popular fast!
well there’s two things I’d like to say about that comic. Thank! I’d hope it could get popular… but the think is, it’ll take away a lot from me getting my other concept done. These take a few hours to color and shade.. so if i was doing [ui]’s and trying to write/draw that too.. idk if i’d ever get any of it done!

Wow I love this Reeder Rabbit comic. I am by birth a Reeder from kentucky they also call me MommaRabbit and my other half Daddy Rabbit! We play cards and in Texas Holdem tourneys on a regular bases here. With a very unique set of individuals. I have tossed the idea around in my head about these people I play with need to be in a comic. but have no clue really how to go about it.
