Anyway, I’ve been tweeting about a “secret project” for that past few weeks that was really stressing me out… Well here it is! My very first comic book. I’m really excited about it. It is available at the TNP Store as of this week… Here’s the little blurb about it:

“This zany first edition is a collection of comic strips from Reeder Rabbit by Joenis Norac. All strips were chosen by the readers as their favorites from the years 2006-2008. The comics vary from remastered versions to the classic versions, including some goofy guest strips and other scraps for your dining pleasure! There are 30 comics in total on 28 pages. The first 25 sold are on high quality, 80lb gloss paper, so be sure to get yours right away! There are only 100 copies available in the first edition; the 75 after the first 25 handsome looking 20lb premium paper. In case you were wondering, all the stories in Reeder Rabbit are true. Well… as true as any fictitious comic about cartoon rabbits can be.”

This strip in my opinion shows the most growth in my art, in the shortest amount of time. I Drew this one this year, and with in months i more fully understood how to manipulate images in photoshop so much better. I don’t know, but i think i chose this one too because it really allowed me to play a lot with the concept of death. Plus, the flames were fun to redraw.

I didn’t make many changes to this one but i wasn’t fully satisfied with certain things in the original. i really cleaned up the art on the bottom panel a lot, when i first drew it i wasn’t really sure how to make a background look good… i think I’ve better establish what it should like now.. wouldn’t you say? Did this commercial ever really piss anyone else off like it pissed me off? It was so aggravating i literally at times wanted to blow my brains out…several times. The one thing they did right is the fact that i don’t think i will EVER forget that commercial or their brand name…though, I’ve never cared to even see what it is that they were selling. Some sort of reliever creme? I’ll tell you what relieves my headaches. A gun, through the eyeball up into my frontal and out my parietal lobe. Instant relief. DEAD ON.

Well i must say, i can’t believe that its already November. The holiday season just started up and that means holiday web comics everwhere! This is one of the few I’ve ever done. I’m rarely thinking about holiday jokes when the time comes up.. probably cos its a busy time of the year.

With 2009 on its way and the hopes that i can get Anhedonia Blue ready by the end of it, i thought I’d really embellish on the fact that this girl i drew in this original 2007 release, was actually a precursor to the main character in Anhedonia, Eydis. It wasn’t until the other day that i really noticed that she looked almost exactly like her! So i took a bit of artistic liberty with the old dead girl and made her resemble a bit more of the way I’m hoping Eydis will look in the final product.

I must stay, i was never particularly fond of this comic back when i first did it, but now i really like it. I feel like i have finally got a hang of my own style. Today i took a look again back on all the old strips and while i was fixing this one up i realized how many different aspects of comic art/photoshop coloring that I’ve learned! I’m really happy about this. I know now that when i move on to my next project down the line that i will be pretty comfortable with all the tools i have to make a comic look like a comic!

[i wrote this comic in psych class back in college, Tourettes is definitely a sad disorder to have to deal with physically... but at least it's one of the more fun, relatively harmless ones.]

After slamming on Religion a bit, i figured it was time for a PSA. Yes kids, if you don’t use condoms, you are a rabbit, and you are having sex with a pretty little girlly rabbit you just met… you will, undoubtedly have kids, hundreds of them.

The only changes i made were in the script and i tightened up the way the characters were drawn/shaded. original: Clickomicator
