worth [wurth] z preposition 1. good or important enough to justify (what is specified): advice worth taking; a place worth visiting. 2. having a value of, or equal in value to, as in money: This vase is worth 12 dollars. 3. having property to the value or amount of: They are worth millions.
When You think about it, was it really worth it? With Thanksgiving and Black Friday just around the corner… It got me thinking about what it all means. It’s really interesting to me that Thanksgiving is SUPPOSED to be about family and giving thanks for the things you’ve been given in your life so far. It’s a time to relax and enjoy your family. When I was younger, we had our Thanksgiving feast on Thanksgiving like anyone else. We had friends and family come and we’d spend time with them while we watched TV together and all pass out early from the tryptophan overload that is saturated in the turkey’s meat! THEN, we’d wake up early, and my dad and I would try to beat the crowds at the store to get some awesome deals. BUT NOW, things are different. It’s two day’s before Thanksgiving even happens, there are people lining up with tents outside of Best Buy to get a deal on a TV or Computer (which isn’t top of the line by any means… and probably wont even last you till next Black Friday).. and they wont even see they’re family and have that feast or that experience because they are waiting out in the cold all day for a TV. …really, is it worth it?
